Abstract of the Talk

Cellular Automata generate random structures intrinsically while obeying very simple rules. These random structures can explain chaotic system like turbulent fluid flow, growth of leaves, growth of crystals, breaking up of materials and biological pigmentation. I will be talking about fluid flow and growth of leaves. I will also show how Cellular Automata is similar to partial differential equations. The subject is very elementary so everyone is invited to have an hour of automata visuals with me.
