ABSTRACT

Carbon nanotubes and graphene are the one and two-dimensional forms of carbon discovered in the last few years. These have exotic physical properties translating into new devices and applications. My talk will discuss interesting science being done with these nano-systems in our laboratory with a realizable potential in applications. Examples will include recent results on flow-induced voltage generation by the flow of air on nanotubes, sensors, exotic behaviour of water confined inside nanotubes and nano-transistors.
