It is my great privilege to invite you all to the "Indo-Japan Workshop on Interface Phenomena for Spintronics (IJW-IPS 2022)" organized by National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), India. The aim of the workshop is to promote a stronger interaction between the national and international scientific communities pursuing research and development in the area of spintronics, thin films, multilayers and nanostructures. The technical program will consist of invited talks from eminent speakers from India and Japan. In addition, participants can also go for poster presentations.
NISER, Bhubaneswar, the venue for IJW-IPS, is located at Jatni in the Khurda district of Odisha. Bhubaneswar is the capital city of the Indian state of Odisha. It is also known as the temple city with more than 150 ancient temples. The city is envisioned to be the smart city ranking number one in India by the end of 2022. It is the hub of many educational institutes of national importance such as IIT, AIIMS, IMMT, IOP, KIIT, RPRC, etc. It is surrounded by numerous picturesque and world heritage sites such as Chilika, Puri, Konark, Lingaraj temple, Peace Pagoda (Dhauligiri), Khandagiri, Udayagiri, etc.
This year, due to the global pandemic, we have restricted the workshop to the online mode. On behalf of the organizing team of IJW-IPS, I invite you all for an active participation and contributions to the workshop.
