For prospective students and postdoctoral fellows
-
Short Projects : As a sixth semester student at NISER if you want to work with me for your project please let me know towards the end of November (or earlier) so that I can think of a suitable problem before the semester break.
-
Masters Project : If you want to work with me for your final year project please express your interest before the mid-semester break of your 8th semester.
I will (on average) supervise one student every academic year, assuming the number of students in the final year is greater than or equal to the faculty strength
of the School of Physical Sciences. Your grades don't have to be stellar (I wont mind it if they are, though) but they shouldn't be a disaster.
It will help if you spend at least some time in the summer working on the project.
-
Ph. D: Please drop by if you are interested. In any given year whether I take a student or not will depend strongly on the state of the thesis of the current students in the group.
-
Postdoctoral fellows : The School of Physical Sciences has regular openings for postdoctoral fellows. Please check the institute webpage for a current advertisement and
the application procedure. You are welcome to write to me beforehand if you have any questions about the group.
