About SMS

T he Symposium of Magnetism and Spintronics (SMS-2021), is being organized by the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, India during 25 – 27 November, 2021. The objective of the conference is to arrange a platform for all the students, scientists who are pursuing their research in the area of magnetism and spintronics, to interact with eminent scientists, share opinion and assess the recent developments in these areas. We aim to organise SMS conferences in a periodic manner in different cities of India.

About NISER

National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar, is a research institution funded by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Govt. of India. NISER is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI), Mumbai, a deemed research university. About School of Physical Sciences, NISER

School of Physical Sciences (SPS) of NISER is in pursuit of excellence in research and teaching. It is engaged in very active research in the frontier areas. Physics of the macro world and micro world are being vigorously explored. The school offers the integrated M.Sc., integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. and Ph.D. programme in Physics to highly motivated students. The research areas of SPS are widespread in the fields of magnetic materials, multiferroics, spintronics, dielectrics, nanofabrication and photonics, solid state ionic, spectroscopy and transport studies, nonlinear optics and semiconductor lasers, ultra-cold atoms & quantum optics, statistical mechanics, high energy physics, string theory, atomic physics, quantum field theory, quantum information, mesoscopic superconductivity, etc.
